KRIKA
 Children's story



KRIKA are the title of a tale concerning
children, colour and Amsterdam.
He was put from 12 the pts. Garamond and
on 120 gr bank mail pressed. Pressing and
to bind was looked after by ' the feather press ',
Amsterdam. The number exists from 100
numbered copies (13,5x19 cm) 1985.

´Muis´heet ik,´piepte het kleine vogeltje. Maar Krika lette verder niet op haar. Muis haastte zich achter Krika aan, over het park, Leidseplein, Prinsengracht, wat een mensen en een lawaai opeens. Krika volgde de gracht, dook onverwacht naar beneden en streek neer op de achterplecht van een rondvaartboot. Terwijl Krika verhalen vertelde over de oude stad en haar vogels, gleden de grachtenhuizen en woonboten aan hen voorbij.

The book contains a selection of poems in
haikuvorm from the years 1986 and 1987.
The notebook gekalligrafeerd were illustrated
and by the writer. Pressing and to bind was
looked after by 'Eijlings theatre printed paper'
in Amsterdam, on 140 gr. Climax and the
envelope 135 gr. Efalin. The Japanese haiku is
 nature poems and exists from three rules,
 of which the first and third rule five syllables
counts and the second rule seven syllables.
The number exists from 100 numbered
copies (14,5x20,5 cm) 1988.

Opeens - is het herfst
met kletterende regen
en een kleurend blad

Hagel in een plas

spent from the poems, especially on the
occasion of the exhibitione women of Carla Klein
and Arnold Nieuwendam. The text was pressed
 on 90 gr. Dacosta white. Pressing and to
bind was looked after by PECO offsetdrukkerij
 Ltd in Amsterdam. The number exists from
100 numbered copies (13,8x18 cm) 1991.
Tevens schreef Arnaldo in 1991.

VROUWEN

Uit de zee kwam zij gerezen
met littekens op de huid
wier en zand nog in het haar
het bloed spoelde van de handen.

Hij wist van welke zee zij kwam
en het lichaam rilde trots
terwijl ze onbewogen keek
naar de honderden op het strand.

Met vruchtbaarheid rond de heupen
toonde ze zwijgend een scherp mes
wierp het over haar schouder
en liep kaarsrecht naar het land.

 

WATERLAND IN KWATRIJNEN

and is above all a ode to returning light. The text
 was pressed on 90 gr. Dacosta white. Pressing

in Amsterdam. The number exists from 100 numbered
copies (15x20,8 cm) 1992.

VEEMARKT

Ze haten steden, willen er niet dood
liggen desondanks dronken in de goot
gaan stiekem naar de meiden
verdrinken in hun schoot.

Zie hun vette koppen staan
jenever achterover slaan
zie de dikke buiken
hangen welvoldaan.

Beschaving is hier verloren
ze striemen koeien om de oren
en schoppen naar het vee
wee, die als dier is geboren.

 

WATERLAND IN KWATRIJNEN
 
'Arnaldo schets in kwatrijnen het dorp, de omgeving en het gevoel dat elke Waterlander moet
herkennen zonder dat het gelijk tranen kost. Eerder is er spraken van een vleugje humor.'

Arnaldo sketch in quatrains the village, the surroundings
and the feeling which each Waterlander must recognise
 without the right waters costs. Rather is there spoke

ZWANEN

Over het donkere water
kwamen zij statig nader
twee grote witte zwanen
het geklap en gedruis kwam later

Even gauw als zij verdwenen
kwamen veel gedachten inenen
één moment dat ik ze in de ogen keek
twee zwanen vlogen samen heen.



WATERLAND

Waterland is ons toegankelijk paradijs
´s Zomers zonnen ´s winters op het ijs
anderen zien het maar als een moeras
horen niet de leeuwerik en zijn niet wijs.

Een loos gebaar naar nergens
elke ochtend als een ritueel
het grijpen in de lucht
gevolgd door een zucht

Hoe zinloos ligt een gedachte
in dat ene handgebaar
alsof hij elke ochtend gaat
en zij hem ´s avonds kan verwachten

ATTESSA

Un gesto vuoto senza destinazione
ogni mattina come rito
l´afferare nell´aria
seguito da un sospiro

Quanto inutilmente, il pensiero è incluso
in quel preciso gesto
come se lui ogni mattina se ne va

THE STRENGHT OF THE WOMAN

 has been made as a result of a task for one of the foundation Ella & Justina.
That one poem grew, almost symbolic, in nine months to this book
 with thirty-nine poems in a oplage of two hundred numbered copies.
The profit went to foundation Ella&Justina.
